Wow!

This game is utterly amazing, to say the least. The visuals are reminiscent of a story book, the hit tests (which can be extremely difficult to execute) work flawlessly, the mechanic of shooting a gargantuan bullet out of a small gun is a clever puzzle-solving tool and the physics work beautifully. Excellent, excellent, excellent. Better than half the crap that gets the same rating! I can't believe this hasn't gotten any awards for "daily best game" or something! I am still staring in awe at the 3.49 out of 5 score this game has and am disappointed that people were foolish enough to rate it anything under a 4. Excellent job, definitely a favorite from me! :)

Hmm?

I'm not usually the kind of person who gives bad reviews, but I have to question why on earth you bothered to upload this. It is, essentially, an engine. Nothing more, nothing less. It's not even a GOOD engine, though. Your car rotates from the top-left corner, which could easily be fixed by moving the car's rotation point into the middle of the movieclip. The game is definitely not running at 30 fps, the Flash game standard, either. There's no point to the game, you can't enter the shop and nothing happens when you park. At first, I saw some potential in this game and still believe it would make a great adventure game! I have personally made a car-driving engine and it's really not that difficult :) good luck!

Nice try!

I was immediately impressed by the different modes you have in the game and the hit test functions work rather well. However, the most of the levels in the game ran very slowly and choppily. I don't really understand what the "speed", "side", "rear" etcetera boxes on the top of the screen were, but they stayed there during every game. Some backgrounds on the menus would be nice, and keeping a consistent style throughout the game would help a lot, too! The high score system is good, but all of the buttons make the game go all the way back to frame 1! Definitely some design flaws, and I'm sure you could make good graphics by yourself, but I read your comment below and understand you're 12 (and aren't afraid to be rude)! :P Nice first try and keep up the good work! Can't wait to see Space Pong 3! :)

thank you very much

Hmm....

The visuals in this game are great, the physics are good, the hit tests are great, too. The game itself is pretty good. What really bothers me are the controls. The up arrow is probably the best bet for jumping and the running feature doesn't really add much. It's a pretty good game, though. It feels like a mario game! Maybe you could use this engine to make something a bit more substantial? Don't let it go to waste!!! :)

Good point! Surely I will use my engine next time.

Thanks for support!

Meh

Not difficult at all, as all you do is click and hold, no way to go back to the main menu, not very rewarding after each shot (no blood or bullets) and no reason to come back and play. You have a good base, but you need a bit more polish before I can say much good about it.

What a good game!

Exellent game, Eric! The graphics were funny and so were the achievements, the physics were great, the scoring was well done, the power-ups were good, the music was awesome and overall, it is an excellent game! The "Spacebar" element helps keep the player involved! Congrats on the good reviews!

Hmmm...

First of all, awesome music! The animation for "game over" seems to go along with it, too. The game itself is nothing spectacular at all, however. It is easy to cheat by right clicking and the menus are plain and boring. The levels aren't exciting either. There's nothing dynamic at all! Try and make your game more exciting and add your own unique twists to it! :)

Pretty good idea!

I thought your idea was pretty good. I like the whole "click to animate" concept you had going. My only problem would be that sometimes it's easy to skip dialogue. Maybe have the player click on dialogue to advance the scene instead of anywhere on the screen? It was a good idea, maybe you could expand on it in your next game? Overall, great job. I had fun playing/watching it!

darkmagewizard3 responds:

Yeah, I tried the "click the dialogue" thing at the end, and wanted to get this out so it's at least SEMI-relevant so I didn't change it in the beginning. Thanks a lot for not being a total jerk (honestly)!

Excellent!

I must say, this is a great game. Awesome physics engine, original game concept, fluid animations and awesome polish make this a great puzzle/physics game. There's not really much to improve on. I understand that the backgrounds are supposed to be grey, while the only thing with color are the balls and the objectives, but it still looks kind of drab. Also, the puzzles aren't particularly difficult. Great game all the same! :)

Meh

First of all, I don't like being called a "fucking dick face" :P . Secondly, why is the ragdoll's head red while the rest of him is black. Some kind of disease? Overall a pretty polished game, nice music, cool effects, but nothing remotely difficult or exciting. There are plenty of better ragdoll games out there. There's no highscore system either. I give it a solid "meh". Try adding upgrades, maybe a level system and more obstacles. A bigger screen would help, too. The missles aren't that difficult to avoid as we know they always fly towards the ragdoll. Maybe an occasional one that flies somewhere random would make it harder? Good luck improving it :)

Hey, thanks for taking time out of your busy life to read this! I'm an indie Flash game developer (as a pastime, not a career :P ) who has more good ideas than he can keep track of. You can visit my website at http://www.flash-fir e-games.webs.com.
